Guidelines for Cultural Programs

  • Performances should be family appropriate and preferably reflect the Holidays spirit.
  • Each participant may be part of maximum 2 performances and not two can be of the same genre/type between Dance, Song, Specialty.
  • Only 1 entry can be registered by an individual, where the registering individual can be a Point of contact, Choreographer or a Participant of the group being registered.
  • If more submissions are received than the allotted slots per category of performance, selection will be primarily based on completeness of registration data and secondly on first-come first-serve basis.
  • Song selection for performances will be on a first-come first-serve basis. 
  • Participating groups can submit up to six songs to prevent duplication. Audio format should be MP3.
  • Audition/rehearsal will be conducted to review the readiness of programs and are mandatory for all participating groups. Dates will be communicated later.
  • Please refer to the performance details in the table below. No exceptions will be made regarding age limits, the minimum number of participants, or the maximum performance duration. 
  • Speciality 1 – Traditional category must represent Kerala’s traditional art forms such as Margamkali, Oppana, Parichamuttu, Duffmuttu, Kolkali, Mime, Drama etc 
  • Speciality 2 – Variety category invites ideas from individuals or groups in the NANMA community for a multifaceted grand finale program.

NANMA Executive Committee reserves the right to:

  • make selection or rejection of performances for reasons listed but not limited to incomplete information in registration, not adhering to the guidelines etc,
  • reach out to POCs to add additional members to a group in order to provide opportunity to individual registrants w/o a group,
  • review registrations for the Speciality performance categories and allocate slots to the group that submitted the best idea that is shortlisted by the committee,
  • review and act on any conflicts or violations of stated guidelines,
  • make changes in the performance categories, guideline and rules,
  • define the overall schedule, structure and sequence of the events.
